1497 Sierra Rd E, Helena, MT 59602
Route Description
Starting near the intersection of Sierra and Frontage Road, then heading north on Frontage Road. Frontage Road is paved and has little to no shoulder. Vehicles do travel fast, but will usually pass wide, using the oncoming lane when safe.
As you head north the pavement ends, but the road is well maintained as you climb. The lion’s share of the 1,202 of vert on this ride is between miles 4 and 12. There are 2 fast descents that can be fun, but be careful as you’ll be navigating a rough road full of pot holes and washboard. As you drop you’ll be reward of some great views of Lake Helena and Helena itself in the background.
You’ll cross the causeway and travel up Lake Helena Drive until turning right on Harmony Road. It can get windy down here; how’s your paceline skills?
Possible Road Closure
There are signs that say that Lake Helena Road will be closed on 7/14/25. This is all the information we have at this time. We will update this post as we find out more.
